I am a native Oregonian having grown up in Gresham Oregon where I attended Sam Barlow high school. After high school I attended Oregon State University where I received two bachelor degrees in Chemical Engineering and Environmental Science, graduating magna cum laude. After attending school at Oregon State I returned to the Portland Metro area to work and live. I am married to a firefighter and have one son, and two large breed dogs who are all my children. Directly out of college I worked for a high tech company where I worked as an engineer specializing in risk analysis for several years. Although it was a great career, I had dreams of owning my own business where I could have more of a personal impact on those around me. The insurance agency was born! When I am not working (which is not very often) I enjoy hiking, being outdoors in nature, and spending time with my family. I like sports such as tennis, snow and water skiing, and martial arts. I love to learn about different cultures, and have visited Japan, Nigeria, Germany, and China, with plans to travel more in the future.
